Sides queueing up for Duff

Sides queueing up for Duff

20 May 2008 - 19:02

Several Premiership sides are queueing up for the signature of Newcastle's unwanted winger Damien Duff. The former Blackburn player is valued by his club at £7 million.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Duff is rather injury-prone after a season with lack of first-team opportunities as the winger has become frustrated with life on the Tyne.

Portsmouth, Blackburn and Wigan are among some his potential suitors.

Newcastle have just build a successful attacking trio with Martins, Viduka and Owen all bagging goals regularly for the club.
