Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons next summer, according to SportBild.
The Netherlands international had a terrific 2023/24 season on loan with Leipzig in the Bundesliga. There were claims that United could sign him.
However, Simons decided to join Leipzig on another temporary stint.
PSG were more than happy to accept the move, given his former club PSV are owed a significant sell-on fee if he is sold before the start of 2025.
It is now reported that Simons dreams of playing in the Premier League and he could explore a transfer opportunity at the end of the campaign.
United are one of his long-term admirers and reports claim that the Red Devils could make a serious approach for his services next year.
PSG are eyeing around £68m to sell the former Barcelona graduate, but United will most likely negotiate a lesser price up front for him.
