Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku following the 1-0 Premier League win over Bournemouth on the road.
The Blues were second best for most of the encounter at the Vitality Stadium. Robert Sanchez kept them in the game with a brilliant save to deny Evanilson from the penalty spot.
Nkunku eventually grabbed a late winner with a piece of individual brilliance. Sancho was the catalyst for the goal with an assist. Maresca praised the duo after a surprise victory.
He said: "I think we start second half much better and Jadon helped us a lot. What he did tonight is exactly what he expect from him. I know what he can give us. Christopher [Nkunku] was very good."
Chelsea have moved to seventh in the league standings with the hard-fought victory over the Cherries. The west London giants are presently just one point adrift of the Champions League spots.
