Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has expressed his delight over Estevao Willian's form with Palmeiras this season.
The Blues reached an agreement to sign the Brazilian wonderkid this summer, but he won't officially join them until he turns 18.
The teenager is expected to make his formal switch next summer, but Maresca has been left impressed with his performances.
He said: "We are following him. He is doing fantastic but unfortunately, he is doing fantastic there and not with us.
"We are going to wait until next summer when he will arrive here but for sure we are happy."
Willian is one of the best emerging stars in Brazilian football and he has made 24 goal contributions in the current year.
At just 17, he is one of the best wide players in the Brazilian Serie A and has the traits to become a world-class attacker.
Chelsea have pulled a big coup by landing him ahead of several European rivals including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
They have also signed another exciting prospect in Kendry Paez from Independiente. He will also join next season.
