Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that left-back Luke Shaw could return to first-team action after the October international break.
The England international made only 15 appearances last term amid multiple injuries. He was fit to feature for the Three Lions at Euro 2024, but picked up a fresh injury on his return to pre-season training.
Ten Hag was asked for a possible timeframe earlier today and the Dutchman said: "I think it’s probably [before the break] but I can’t say I'm 100 per cent sure.
"The plan is just to be back before but as I say I can’t say this 100 per cent for sure.“It could also be shortly after the break."
In the absence of Shaw, Diogo Dalot has featured from the left-back role and the Portuguese has been good with his contributions over a long stretch.
However, he has looked vulnerable in the big games due to his positioning and Shaw's return would be a welcome boost for the Mancunian giants.
