Manchester United's hierarchy are discussing internally over the future of manager Erik ten Hag, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils have been poor in the Premier League this campaign and they have accumulated only eight points from their opening seven games.
This has led to doubts surrounding the manager's future and Romano reveals that the situation is intense and talks are ongoing internally at the club.
Ten Hag is preparing as normal for the upcoming game against Brentford, but there could yet be a twist in the tale, as per the respected journalist.
The next few days could give an idea over what United have decided.
The club may need to come up with a formal announcement confirming their stance just like they did during the September international break.
Club CEO Omar Berrada confirmed back then that Ten Hag had the complete support from the hierarchy and something similar is required.
United are scheduled to host the Bees at Old Trafford on October 19.
