Manchester United have been handed a big boost with Bruno Fernandes returning early from Nations League duty with Portugal.
The 30-year-old started in the 5-1 win over Poland last night. He had an impressive outing and scored the third goal for the hosts.
With the victory, Portugal have booked their berth in the quarter-final stage of the competition. They have therefore released multiple stars.
Fernandes has been permitted to return to Old Trafford early and he could start training under new manager Ruben Amorim early next week.
It is good news for the Red Devils, considering the Portuguese has the chance to adapt to the manager's 3-4-2-1 formation ahead of schedule.
Fernandes has also had a heavy workload for club and country and he has a couple of days to recuperate before returning to Carrington.
United take on Ipswich Town away from home after the international break. Amorim could make a few changes depending on his tactical set-up.
