Lampard hints at new deal

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed he is close to signing a new deal with the club. The England international has been in discussions with Barcelona and Inter Milan and is keen to sign a new deal with the Blues.

"I have got to talk to the club," revealed Lampard, who lost his mother following a short illness in April.



"My contract has obviously been the last thing on my mind in the last six weeks, but I will sit down and talk with them after the England games.



"I hope we can come to a conclusion. I am pretty confident we can. I have said that many times before."
