Arsenal have no plans of recruiting a new striker when the transfer window reopens at the beginning of the New Year, according to Daily Mail.
The Gunners were tipped to land a marquee centre-forward last summer, but they ended up without making any signing for the department.
The decision has been criticised by a section of the fans. There have been suggestions that they could spend big in the coming transfer window.
It is now reported that Arsenal have their sights on a marquee addition up front, but they are unlikely to open their cheque books this winter.
Instead, they are prepared to wait until the end of the campaign so that they have the luxury of recruiting their preferred striker from the market.
RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko remains the priority for the Gunners and he could be signed for a package of around £66m next summer.
There is no release clause in the contract of the 21-year-old striker, but he reportedly has a gentleman's agreement to leave Leipzig.
