Chelsea are eyeing a shock move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this winter, according to David Ornstein.
The Blues had a brilliant start to the Premier League campaign and they were considered as genuine challengers for the title in December.
However, their form has been dreadful over the past five league games with three points and they have now dropped to fifth in the standings.
Manager Enzo Maresca is eager to arrest the downslide. Ornstein claims that Garnacho is being considered to bolster the attacking department.
The Argentina international has been in-and-out of the starting XI under manager Ruben Amorim. He has had a mixed relationship.
Garnacho is open to pursuing a new challenge away from Old Trafford. Napoli are interested, but the Blues have now joined the race.
The 20-year-old could be prised away for around £65 million and it remains to be seen whether the Blues meet the price tag this winter.
