Geovanni wants Man City stay

Brazilian midfielder Geovanni is hoping that he can stay with Man City. The player scored a couple of important goals for the Citizens this year, and is hoping that Sven-Goran Eriksson offers him a new contract for next year.

  • “It’s been a brilliant year and the fans have really taken me to their hearts,” the 28-year-old said.



    “Everywhere I go in Manchester they make me feel welcome and ask for pictures and autographs – they love me and I love them too.



    “I would love to stay at the club, but as a professional footballer I have to consider all my options.



    “Whether those options are in the UK, the Premier League or elsewhere we’ll have to see, but I hope to be able to sort out my future in the next couple of weeks.”
