Manchester United have made an opening offer on the table to sign Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu, according to Sky Sport Italy.
The Red Devils are determined to bolster the left wing-back position this term and they have identified Dorgu as the priority target.
The Dane started his career from the left wing-back role at Lecce, but he has primarily played on the right side of the attack this campaign.
His versatility has grabbed the attention of manager Ruben Amorim. He has already given the green light for a potential transfer.
United have made an opening bid of around €30 million up front for the Dane, but Lecce are holding out for a much higher fee.
The Serie A outfit want at least €40m as a fixed fee for the 20-year-old, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
The London duo have not revived their interest this month. United could prise him away with an improved offer in the coming days.
