Duff won't rejoin Blackburn

Damien Duff has ruled out any possibility of a return to his old club Blackburn. The Newcastle winger is set to leave the club this summer, if rumours are to be believed, and his old club had emerged as candidates.

A Blackburn Rovers source said: "Damien's name has never been mentioned by anyone on the coaching staff in terms of being a summer transfer target, and I don't think Mark (Hughes) sees that position as a priority.



"There are other areas of the team he would prefer to strengthen, and that appears to be what he is focusing on."
