Tottenham's sporting director Damien Comolli is expected to fly out to France to negotiate with French club Lyon for talented Brazilian forward Fred. The player is expected to join Spurs this summer for £8 million.

Fred's brother Rodrigo has already confirmed that discussions with Tottenham are ongoing.



“Yes, we are meeting with Damien Comolli, Spurs’ sporting director,” Rodrigo told French daily L’Equipe, in what could prove to be a ploy to earn his client a better contract with the French champions.



“He is coming with a new offer. If it is good, Fred will sign for Tottenham.”
