Forward Watford striker Troy Deeney has urged Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap to join Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been in good form for the Tractor Boys in the Premier League and he has netted 12 goals and provided two assists this term.
There is a relegation release clause worth £30m in his contract and that is widely expected to become active. Ipswich are 12 points adrift of safety.
United are one of the striker's main admirers and Deeney believes Delap would start every week if he were to join the Red Devils this summer.
He said: "So his next step would be, if I was advising him would be that with Man United it’s nailed on. If he went to Man United, he’d start every week. He’d instantly make them better."
Delap has also been linked with Chelsea over the past few weeks. The Premier League giants are expected to compete with United for his services.
