Manchester United are reportedly favourites ahead of Chelsea to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap at the end of the season.
The Red Devils are expected to spend big during the summer transfer window and a new centre-forward will be prioritised.
Delap has emerged as the leading option on their wishlist and Daily Mail claim that they have the upper hand in the race.
The 22-year-old has had a good Premier League campaign with 13 goals. He could leave on the cheap over the summer.
Delap can be signed for just £30 million once Ipswich are relegated.
Chelsea are also in the pursuit of the marksman, but United have an advantage with the guarantee of playing minutes.
Delap could become the undisputed striker for United with Rasmus Hojlund likely to be offloaded at the end of the campaign.
The Blues have a long-term interest in Delap too, but they see him as an understudy to Nicolas Jackson rather than as a starter.
