Chelsea are not planning to sign Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Blues are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, and there could be a big spending spree to help manager Enzo Maresca.
A couple of signings could be made before the Club World Cup and reports yesterday claimed that Pedro is a top target for Chelsea.
However, this has been swiftly dismissed by Jacobs, who reports that the Blues are not exploring a deal for the Brazilian attacker.
No contact has been made with Brighton & Hove Albion for the 23-year-old, who has managed 17 goal contributions this campaign.
Pedro is anticipated to leave the Seagulls at the end of the campaign and he has his sights on moving to another Premier League outfit.
Chelsea have distanced themselves from a potential transfer, but he could still stay in the English top flight with Leeds United and Manchester United keen.
Brighton want 50 million pounds to sanction his departure.
