Arsenal target Nico Williams has opened the door to joining Barcelona during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Spain international was a top target for the Gunners last summer, but he was reluctant to leave Athletic for another season at least.
He is open to a new challenge this time around. Bayern recently made contact with his agent, but Williams has a clear ambition in mind.
Williams has reportedly told Barcelona that he is open to joining them, but the big question remains whether the Blaugrana can afford him.
Athletic Bilbao are expected to demand his £50 million release clause in full, and have no plans to accept staggered payments for the winger.
On top of this, Williams' wage demands could be problematic too.
The attacker is expected to demand over £300,000 per week. This is a prime reason why Arsenal have not made a formal approach so far.
Bayern seem in the best financial position to sign the 22-year-old.
