Tottenham Hotspur have made an opening bid of £70 million to sign Manchester United target Bryan Mbeumo, according to The Mirror.
The north London giants ended the campaign on a high with Europa League glory, but they still decided to part ways with manager Ange Postecoglou.
Thomas Frank was recently appointed as his successor and the Dane is reportedly keen on a reunion with Brentford winger Mbeumo.
Frank played a big part in Mbeumo's development as the Bees manager and has urged Spurs to complete the signing of the Cameroonian star.
The club have offered to pay £60m plus £10m in add-ons for Mbeumo, but the winger is still keen on joining Manchester United this summer.
United's latest offer stands at £50m plus £10m in add-ons, and they will need to improve that proposal for the Bees to consider his sale.
If their valuation is not met, Mbeumo may have to stay put next season. Spurs could seek to capitalise if United can't meet the price tag.
