Chelses are reportedly close to securing an agreement for the transfer of Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The London giants are expected to strengthen their forward department for next season and they have already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.
The club are poised to continue their spending spree and reports claim that they are on the cusp of finalising the transfer of Gittens from Dortmund.
Dortmund have already turned down three bids from the Blues for the 20-year-old. They rejected a €55m offer from the west London giants before the Club World Cup.
The London heavyweights are set to make an improved proposal in the coming days and there is optimism that an agreement can be reached.
Gittens has already agreed personal terms over a seven-year contract with the Blues and he is waiting for the clubs to finalise on the transfer fee.
Alongside Gittens, Chelsea are open to landing another wide player.
