Arsenal are serious about signing Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze during the ongoing summer transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The London giants are aiming to bolster their attack this summer and they have been tipped to sign a new striker and left winger. However, Ornstein reports that the club are eyeing a versatile playmaker alongside.
Arsenal hold a serious interest in landing Eze from the Eagles. They have no plans to pay his reported £68 million release clause and will seek to negotiate a lower price with their London counterparts in the near future.
Eze accumulated 14 goals and 11 assists from the number 10 position for the Eagles last campaign. He made the headlines in May by scoring the only goal in the FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the versatile forward, who can also play on either wing, but Ornstein claims that the Europa League holders don't plan to compete with the Gunners.
