Arsenal have opened contract negotiations with Leandro Trossard amid interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The Belgian attacker has been linked with a potential exit from the Gunners this summer and it was recently claimed that he had agreed terms with Fenerbahce over a three-year deal.
However, there has been no progress regarding a potential transfer. Fenerbahce have distanced themselves from the former Brighton man after learning of the £20m price tag.
Arsenal have now opened negotiations over a new contract with Trossard whose previous deal expires in June 2027. Trossard has been a key player over the last two years, but his position has become uncertain lately.
With Arsenal said to be targeting a marquee left winger, there have been doubts about Trossard's playing time prospects for the new campaign.
Despite this, the Gunners seem keen to keep hold of him. Talks are ongoing with the 30-year-old to commit him to a new long-term contract.
