Nottingham Forest are looking to add a new defender to their squad before the Premier League's transfer window closes on September 1st 2025, and Leif Davis is their primary target, available for a reported £25 million from Ipswich Town. West Ham had been linked with Davis last season but did not register a bid with the Tractor Boys.
Davis impressed last season in his debut Premier League campagin, playing 33 times for Ipswich as they were relegated to the Championship. Ipswich also desperately want to keep hold of Omari Hutchison, also a target for Nottingham Forest.
Davis, 25-year-old, has indicated he is happy to stay at Ipswich but the Suffolk side could be forced to sell as they look to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt.
Forest have been linked with several players and manager Nuno Espirito Santo feels the club are very short of options and still has around £45 million to spend on new faces. Tottenham have also been monitoring Davis' transfer status and could provide competition for his signature.
