AC Milan have agreed on personal terms with Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are determined to bolster their strikeforce ahead of the new campaign and Hojlund has been identified as the top target for them.
The Dane has now given the green light for the transfer. Milan have agreed to cover 100 percent of his current salary of €4 million after tax.
Talks are ongoing over the fee. Milan plan to pay around €6m upfront for the striker and are prepared to include a buy clause worth €40m.
Hojlund wants the guarantee of a permanent move next summer, and Milan could yet negotiate a buy clause which may become mandatory if certain conditions are met.
The Dane has fallen out of favour at the Red Devils after the arrival of Benjamin Sesko and he looks poised to restart his career back in Serie A with the Rossoneri.
He previously spent one season with Atalanta in the Italian top tier.
