Chelsea already have a verbal agreement in place to sign RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues are keen on strengthening their attack despite the recent signings of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap.
Simons has agreed on personal terms with the Blues and reports claim that the club have now finalised a transfer deal too.
Leipzig are likely to sanction his sale with a replacement lined up.
The Bundesliga outfit could re-sign Christopher Nkunku from the Blues in a separate deal as a successor to the Dutchman.
Chelsea are expected to make one more signing after Simons. They have their sights on landing Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine has already accepted terms over a five-year deal and talks are advanced between the clubs regarding the transfer package.
Garnacho has no desire to join any other club and he is determined to sign for the Blues before the transfer window closes on September 1.
