Chelsea have concluded a deal with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign Julio Enciso in a deal worth around £22 million, as the 21-year-old and the Paraguayan will sign a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, and the player is expected to move on loan to Strasbourg for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Enciso spent last season on loan at Ipswich Town in the Premier League and had been informed that he was free to leave Brighton.
Enciso moved to Brighton in 2022 for a fee of £9.5 million and quickly caught the eye in England.
BlueCo, the owners of both Strasbourg and Chelsea, had emphasised that Enciso would be an important player for the future at Stamford Bridge, and will be given an opportunity in France.
Enciso can play as an attacking midfielder or a winger and primarily operates as a playmaker and had been heading into the last two years of his contract at the South Club club.
It is understood that a deal will be announced on Friday afternoon, with the player being unveiled as a Chelsea player.
