Manchester United have made an offer to sign VfB Stuttgart defensive midfielder Angelo Stiller, as the Old Trafford outfit seek to bring in one defensive midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window. 24-year-old Stiller has played four times for Germany's national team, and has been with Stuttgart since 2023, playing 63 times in the Bundesliga.
With uncertainty over the availability of Casemiro at the centre of United's midfield, the club are seeking to bring at least one new face to provide competition. Stiller is considered one of the Bundesliga's most consistent midfielders and will be a welcome acquisition at United for a fee of around 27.5 million euros.
Angelo Stiller could be a smart signing for Manchester United because he offers composure, intelligence, and consistency in midfield, qualities the team has lacked at times. A product of Bayern Munich’s academy, Stiller excels in dictating tempo, breaking lines with progressive passing, and maintaining positional discipline. At just 23, he combines Bundesliga experience with room to develop further. His ability to shield the defense while initiating attacks would bring balance and reliability to United’s midfield options.
