Villareal have completed the signing of Chelsea defender Renato Veiga on a long-term contract.
The Portuguese signed for the Blues from Basel last summer, but was loaned out to Juventus in January for regular playing time.
Veiga has now been permitted to join Villarreal in his quest for playing first-team football. The Blues have made a profit from his departure.
Chelsea signed the 22-year-old for a package of €14 million and have now sanctioned his transfer for around €29 million.
As part of the deal, Chelsea will also retain a sell-on clause which could range from 20 to 40 percent based on conditions.
Alongside Veiga, Carney Chukwuemeka is expected to leave the Blues on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes.
Borussia Dortmund are in advanced talks with the Blues and they could land his signature for around €20 million with add-ons.
The German giants are also negotiating a loan deal for Aaron Anselmino, who arrived at Chelsea from Boca Juniors last winter.
