Chelsea have blocked Nicolas Jackson's loan exit to Bayern Munich following a hamstring injury sustained by Liam Delap against Fulham.
The Blues picked up a 2-0 win over the Cottagers in the Premier League earlier today. Delap started the game, but was substituted early in the opening half due to the setback.
As a result, the club have decided to cancel a loan deal for Jackson. The striker made his way to Munich for his medical, but has been asked to return back to west London.
As a things stand, Jackson and his agent have yet to respond, and they are still hopeful that a move will go through before Monday's transfer deadline.
After the setback for Delap, the Blues have just one specialist centre-forward in Joao Pedro aside from Jackson, who is pushing for a new challenge away from the club.
Jackson has no desire to play for the Blues again, but the hierarchy have taken the step to recall him, with Delap expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks.
