Chelsea are reportedly exploring the transfer market for a new striker following a hamstring injury for Liam Delap.
The Blues signed Delap and Joao Pedro to bolster the centre-forward department, but the former could be out for months with a hamstring injury.
The club decided to block Nicolas Jackson's loan exit to Bayern Munich as a result, but the Senegalese could yet leave on a permanent transfer.
With this in mind, Chelsea are still looking at options in the transfer market and have not ruled out landing a new marksman before the deadline.
Sporting CP's Conrad Harder was one of those being considered, but the youngster has now agreed to join RB Leipzig on a permanent basis.
If Chelsea can't find a proper solution, they have not ruled out the possibility of recalling Marc Guiu from his Sunderland loan stint.
There is no recall clause as part of the loan agreement, and the Black Cats will need to be compensated for the striker to return to the Blues.
