Bournemouth have secured the signing of 6 foot 4 centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic from Red Star Belgrade, with the 18-year-old arriving as the club seek to rebuild their defence having lost three star players during this transfer window. The Serbian under-19 international will be given an opportunity to shine with the club's reserves first, and joins in a transfer deal worth £13 million.
Milosavljevic is a right-footed, 1.92m central defender who broke through at Red Star and captained Serbia youth levels. The tools are classic modern CB: size for aerials and set pieces, recovery range, and the confidence to play from the back; the next steps in the Premier League will be decision speed under pressure and consistency against elite movement. Andoni Iraola has been reinforcing the back line for a Europa-chasing season, and adding an 18-year-old, top-rated ball-winner complements the senior additions already made in defense.
