Chelsea defender Axel Disasi turned down a move to West Ham United on transfer deadline day, according to The Telegraph.
The Frenchman emerged as a late target for the Hammers today, but the centre-back was unconvinced about joining the club.
West Ham were eyeing a straight loan deal for the former Monaco man, but Disasi probably wanted the assurance of a future transfer.
As a result, Disasi has stayed with the Blues beyond the British transfer deadline, but could still move to Turkey or Saudi in the coming days.
The Turkish transfer window does not close until September 12, while the Saudi transfer deadline will be on the 21st of September.
Hence, there is still time left for Disasi to pursue a new challenge.
If a move does not materialise, he could be reintegrated into the squad. Disasi could be involved in the Cup competitions for the Blues.
Chelsea are presently second in the Premier League with seven points.
