Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has his sights on returning to the first-team squad after deciding to stay this summer, according to BBC Sport.
The Frenchman was touted to leave the Blues before the British transfer deadline. West Ham United were keen on landing his signature, but the former Monaco man was unconvinced regarding the move.
Disasi eventually stayed put with the west London giants and he has no plans of pursuing a switch to Turkey or the Saudi Pro League in the coming weeks.
Despite this, he does not plan to sit in the reserves until January and believes he can still break into the plans of manager Enzo Maresca this term.
The centre-back will return to team training after the international break and it remains to be seen whether he will reinstated back into the matchday squads.
Chelsea take on Brentford on the road after the international break before their first Champions League game of the campaign against Bayern away from home.
