Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer could be sidelined for three to six weeks after picking up a groin injury against Manchester United in the Premier League.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Wolves, Liam Delap starts

  • The Blues suffered their first defeat of the Premier League campaign against the Red Devils last weekend. Palmer was substituted after just 20 minutes on the clock due to a fresh groin issue.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca has yet to provide a definite update on the concern, but journalist Simon Phillips claims that Palmer has a new tear in the same groin and could be out for weeks.

He said: "Sources have heard that Palmer has a new tear in the same groin and we are looking at around 3-6 weeks out. This is as a result of further aggravation to the groin in the Bayern game."

Chelsea take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend. The Blues are seven points behind leaders Liverpool and Saturday's game already appears a must-win.
