Fiorentina have completed a notable swoop today as the Italy international striker Alberto Gilardino completed a move back to the club from AC Milan on a four year contract.

Gilardino had been linked with a return to the Viola all season, but the move has finally been signed and sealed and the Italian is now ready to start his second spell at the club.



The fee that Fiorentina paid for the 25 year old is yet to be confirmed, but it is believed to be in the region of around £9 million.
