Manchester United are keen on landing the signature of Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils bolstered their goalkeeping department with the purchase of Senne Lammens from Antwerp on transfer deadline day this summer.
Lammens had to wait for his debut. He eventually made his bow against Sunderland and had a wonderful game, keeping a good clean sheet.
Amidst this, Sport claim that United want to sign an experienced goalkeeper, who can become the new number one ahead of Lammens this term.
Ter Stegen has been identified as the ideal fit and it is claimed that talks are already underway with Barcelona over a loan with a buy option.
The German star is injured at the current point in time, but he is expected to return to first-team action before the end of November.
It remains to be seen whether Ter Stegen pushes for a move. Barcelona won't sanction his exit unless he gives the green light to depart.
