Manchester United are reportedly keen on landing French goalkeeper Mike Maignan on a free transfer from AC Milan at the end of the campaign.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea earlier this summer, but the Blues could not agree on a suitable fee with the Rossoneri.
Maignan eventually decided to stay with the Milan giants, but he could walk away on a free transfer when his contract expires in June next year.
United are keeping a close eye on the player's situation, and Sportsboom claim that they are confident of landing the former Lille shot-stopper.
The Red Devils signed a very talented goalkeeper in Senne Lammens this summer and he had a fantastic debut against Sunderland last weekend.
Despite this, manager Ruben Amorim wants an experienced solution in the squad and seems keen on landing Maignan as a strong competitor.
Maignan is unlikely to join unless he is guaranteed a starting berth. The Red Devils can negotiate a pre-contract with him as early as January.
