Manchester United could make a serious move to land Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba in January, according to Teamtalk.
The Red Devils were determined to land the Cameroonian last summer but they were put off by the reported asking price of £115 million.
Baleba has since endured a difficult start to the campaign. He has been affected by the speculation and has been poor with his displays.
Despite this, the midfielder has his sights on a big-club move and he could push for a new challenge when the transfer window reopens.
Brighton are aware that United are still monitoring their player, but they are expected to demand at least £100m despite his drop in form.
United were not in a position to meet the demands last summer, but could be prepared to do so if they can recoup part of the transfer fee.
Joshua Zirkzee is pushing to join another Premier League side. His departure could pave the way for the Red Devils to push for Baleba.
