Manchester United are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Malmo goalkeeper Melker Ellborg during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils spent on Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens last summer and he has made an instant impression for the Red Devils.
Lammens has been almost flawless between the sticks, but the club may seek a solid deputy behind the Belgian when the transfer window reopens.
Ellborg has been closely monitored since the start of the campaign, and Expressen claim that United could make an approach in the New Year.
If United were to pursue a deal for Ellborg, it could pave the way for Altay Bayindir to head for the exit door at the beginning of the year.
Bayindir is said to be frustrated after losing his starting spot to Lammens, and he could push for a new challenge to boost his playing time.
In the process, Bayindir could bolster his prospects of making the World Cup squad with Turkey if they qualify for the global tournament.
