Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori has returned early from international duty due to a hip problem.
The Italian has been a mainstay on the left side of the Gunners defence and he has started every game in the Premier League.
Calafiori recently missed Italy's World Cup qualifier against Moldova with a hip issue, but he was anticipated to return versus Norway.
However, that has not been the case. Calafiori has been permitted to return to Arsenal early in order to undergo further treatment.
The injury is not said to be serious and the former Bologna man should be fit in time to face Tottenham Hotspur away from home.
Arsenal are presently four points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the table and face a stern test of title credentials this winter.
The club have a tricky schedule with the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Aston Villa to face in the next five top-flight matches.
