Manchester United are looking at the prospect of signing Christos Mouzakitis during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The Red Devils were keen on landing a new midfielder last summer, but they could not find a suitable target before the transfer deadline.
The club could seek a new solution in the New Year and reports claim that they are weighing up a possible approach for Mouzakitis.
Brighton & Hove Albion are likewise interested in the talented 18-year-old, but Olympiacos are unlikely to sanction his sale on the cheap.
The Greek champions are expected to hold out for at least 40 million pounds in January and may demand the majority of the fee upfront.
United are also looking at alternative solutions including Wolverhampton Wanderers star Joao Gomes, who has opened the door for a winter exit.
The Midlands outfit may not block his departure, provided their asking price worth £44 million is met during the winter transfer window.
