Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has returned to training ahead of the games against Barcelona and Arsenal this week.
The England international has had an injury-plagued campaign and he has not featured in any competition since the 2-1 Premier League loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford in September.
Palmer recently overcame a nagging groin injury, but his return has been delayed after accidently fracturing his toe. He is back in training, but manager Enzo Maresca is unsure over his fitness.
Speaking in today's press conference, the Italian said: "We don’t know when (Palmer will be back), but for sure it will be soon. He’s already on the pitch. He’s already touching the ball and the feeling is good."
Palmer is certain to miss the midweek Champions League clash against Barcelona at home. Maresca has acknowledged that it is unlikely that he will be fit to face the Gunners either.
The Manchester City graduate could return in early December when the Blues take on newly-promoted Leeds United at Elland Road.
