Manchester United absolutely want to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson during the summer transfer window, according to journalist Andy Mitten.
The Red Devils are determined to bolster the holding midfield department next year, but may have to wait until the summer in order to do so.
Anderson has been highlighted as the priority target and Mitten claims that the Red Devils want an exactly similar profile to bolster their squad.
The 23-year-old has been exceptional for the Tricky Trees over the last 18 months. He has won seven duels per game with 8.2 recoveries.
His performances have earned him a regular spot in the England national side and he is pretty much guaranteed to make the World Cup squad.
Forest valued him at around £60 million last summer, but his price is expected to rise to £100m or even more at the end of the season.
United may ideally want to seal his transfer before the World Cup.
