Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Lisandro Martinez is ready to play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League tomorrow.
The Argentina international has not played a competitive game for the Mancunian giants since picking up a serious knee injury against the Eagles in February.
Martinez made his return to the matchday squad in the 1-0 loss to Everton on Monday night, but he was not introduced by the manager during the second half.
Amorim has now hinted that the 27-year-old could make his comeback against the Eagles in Sunday's early kick-off at Selhurst Park.
The manager said: "If he is on the bench, he is ready. Of course, we need to control his minutes but, if he is on the bench, he is ready to play."
United were on a five-match unbeaten streak before a 1-0 loss to Everton. They were poor despite the Toffees playing with 10 men for more than 80 minutes.
The Red Devils will be determined to provide a response, but they face a stern challenge against the Eagles away from their home patch.
United have failed to beat the Eagles during their previous five trips to Selhurst Park. Their last victory at the stadium came in July 2020.
