Manchester United are absolutely interested in landing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba in January or next summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are poised to bolster their midfield in 2026 and they are exploring different options. Romano has now revealed that Baleba continues to remain on their radar after a failed summer move.
Furthermore, the club are in constant contact with the player and his representatives. They remain 'absolutely interested' in the 21-year-old and could make a future approach for the Cameroonian ace.
Baleba has had a dip in his performance levels during the ongoing season, but United are still convinced over his overall ability as a defensive midfielder. They could wait until next summer to land him.
The young midfielder is presently with Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations. Brighton plan to keep him until the end of the season before contemplating an exit. They are set to demand a premium fee.
It could take more than £100 million to prise him away.
