Manchester United are not exploring a move for Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves at the current point in time, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils recently made contact with super-agent Jorge Mendes, which led to the speculation that they could pursue a deal for Neves.
Neves is represented by Mendes too, but Romano has clarified that the Mancunian giants have not made any kind of offer for now.
The Portuguese's current deal with Al-Hilal expires at the end of the season, and he could be sold for just £18 million at the turn of the year.
Neves has his sights on returning to the Premier League. United have held a long-term interest, but no proposal has been made thus far.
Meanwhile, Romano mentioned that United have spoken with Mendes about several young talents rather than the situation of Neves.
Neves has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur. The London giants could have a free run at signing the 28-year-old this winter.
