Chelsea have decided to part ways with manager Enzo Maresca following a poor run of results last month.
The Blues were in a title race in November and were just six points behind Arsenal at one point. However, they have quickly dropped down the standings and are presently 15 points behind the Gunners for the top spot.
The pressure has been increasing on Maresca over the past few matches. The 2-2 draw against Bournemouth was his final game for the Blues and he has now been relieved from his duties.
The west London giants have already started the process of landing a replacement and they plan to find a solution within the next few days rather than weeks, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Strasbourg's Liam Rosenoir is a potential candidate for the vacancy, while Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola is another name on the club's wishlist.
Chelsea have been in a dreadful run of Premier League form and they face another daunting challenge against Manchester City on the road.
