Fan favourite Pascal Gross will be returning to Brighton and Hove Albion for the second half of the Premier League season, after the South Coast club agreed a 2 million euro transfer fee for the German international. The attacking midfielder is considered one of the club's best ever players, playing 228 Premier League games for the team, and will return having failed to impress Borussia Dortmund after making a transfer there 18 months ago.
Gross has been on the fringes of Dortmund's first-team in the Bundesliga this game, but one goal in 65 games is a far cry from the impressive 32 goals in 261 games that he scored during his team with Brighton.
It is also understood that Gross has been earmarked as a potential coach or even manager at the club. Fabian Hurzeler, the current Brighton manager, has seen the club's fortune dip in recent weeks, as the club have failed to register a win in five games, and now the club's hierarchy want to add experience as the team sit in 14th place in the league table.
