Manchester United will have to pay £52 million to sign Koln winger Said El Mala during the summer transfer window, according to German outlet Bild.
The Red Devils are planning to bolster their attack further this year and have their sights on Mala, who has shone for Koln in the Bundesliga thus far.
El Mala, 19, has netted six goals and provided three assists in 16 games this campaign, and his progress has caught the eye of several elite clubs.
Alongside United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also keen on the youngster, but Koln are expected to demand a premium fee next summer.
They are unlikely to sanction his sale for less than £52 million, given his exceptional performances since their return to the German top-flight.
El Mala previously turned down a move to Borussia Dortmund last year as they were reluctant to sign his elder brother Malek alongside him.
Koln obliged to do so from Viktoria, and this could prove a potential stumbling block for clubs, who are unwilling to recruit his brother.
