Arsenal are closely watching the performances of AC Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi, according to Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy.
The Gunners bolstered their defence with the signings of Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie last summer, but they are still eyeing additions to their backline.
The club are unlikely to pursue a new player this winter, but they could definitely seek to add another recruit for the summer, as per reports.
Gazzetta claim that the Gunners are monitoring the progression of Bartesaghi, who has been a mainstay in the left wing-back role for Milan this term.
The 20-year-old can also operate on the left side of the back three, and his displays have caught the eye of Arsenal scouts in the last few months.
Milan are aware of the interest from the Gunners alongside other clubs, and they are keen to 'triple up' Bartesaghi's wages in the coming weeks.
The youngster's current deal worth €500,000 per year expires in June 2030.
